A Little Bit About A Touch of Elegance, LLC



Hello & Welcome to our blog! We decided that we would start a blog to keep everyone updated on the weddings we have been coordinating for the past ALMOST two years as well as our upcoming weddings!

We are a mother/daughter team and have enjoyed the chance to build a wonderful business together. There is something about weddings that seems right for a mother and daughter to tackle together! A mother can give one perspective and the daughter is able to give a bit of a fresher perspective. It can definitely be a challenge working so closely, but in the end it makes us stronger.

My mom, Deborah, is GREAT at what she does. She is EXTREMELY organized & detail oriented! She truly wants to make sure that our brides have the absolute BEST experience possible. I, Cassie, am also EXTREMELY organized and love finding new elements for brides to incorporate into their special day.

We are the kind of planners who do not want to take all of the planning away from you. We want to help you enhance your vision to make it even better than you ever imagined. We will do as little or as much of planning as you would like us to and our packages are diverse enough that there is a package for everyone at every point in the planning process.

We started our company in October 2006. The company came about because I, Cassie, married the love of my life on June 24, 2006 and we had such a great time planning everything. EVERY vendor we worked with told us that we should make a career out of planning weddings because we were so easy to work with, had great ideas and were EXTREMELY organized & detail oriented, which in turn made our vendors jobs that much easier! My wedding was absolutely flawless and we had such a WONDERFUL time during the planning process & all of the wedding related events.

So, after giving it some thought we decided that we wanted to give brides the same fun & stress-free experience that I had and so A Touch of Elegance, LLC was created!

In order to make our company a reputable success I took classes through U.S. Event Guide to become a Certified Wedding & Event Professional. We also joined the ABC (Association of Bridal Consultants).

In November 2006 we launched our website and were ready for clients!

We also began advertising in The Perfect Wedding Guide and on TheKnot.com!

As with most business it takes a little bit to get up and going, but we started booking weddings & events!

In May of 2007 we helped the Morgan family throw a graduation open house for their daughter Amanda. The event was amazing and everything was beautiful. They had food catered from Lumiere du corps Resort and rented amazing pink linens. They had a really nice photo montage made for Amanda that looped throughout the open house.

In June of 2007 I (Cassie) was in one of my best friend's weddings and my mom oversaw all of the events of day! Katie & Andy's day was absolutely beautiful and she looked AMAZING!

In July of 2007 I (Cassie) was in another one of my best friend's weddings and once again my mom oversaw the day's events. Lana & Jevon had an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day and everything came together just as they envisioned.
There are MANY more events to write about, but I am going to close for tonight! I will also try to figure out how to post pictures from each of these events!
